◎简　　介　

　　故事描述由韦基马饰演的工程师白约翰前往非洲负责在萨佛建造一座供火车行使的大桥，当他抵达该地才发现当地由于受食人狮的威胁，工人都无心工作，工程难以进行下去，于是白自告奋勇前去屠狮，当夜守在树上一举击毙前来侵袭的狮子人心大振，工程得以继续。然而……他们不知道食人狮不只一头，正当人们兴高采烈继续工作时，另外两头更为凶猛的狮子已经把他们作为猎物，悄悄地发动了袭击。此后情节便以此展开，故事一直都以白约翰和这两头狮子的战斗为主要内容，其后更有狩猎高手雷明顿(米高道格拉斯)参与。

幕后制作

影片表达了在自然日益受到破坏的时代，自然之神与人类的抗衡。狮子吃人的镜头拍得（或称剪得）颇为血腥。
