　　法国五六十年代喜剧大师雅克·大地的于洛三部曲的第三部，前面两部是《于洛先生的假期》(Monsieur Hulots Holiday)和《我的舅舅》（Mon Oncle）。法国人于洛来到超级现代化的巴黎，体会到一个钢筋玻璃世界的冷酷。这个非人化的场景故意在摄影棚里搭建，真正的巴黎建筑只出现在玻璃的反照中。

幕后制作

　　影片采用一种接近单色的色调和70毫米的巨大画卷，用风格化的方式将现代文明的冷漠转化成超现实的意象。影片几乎没有对白，纯粹利用演员的肢体动作表现出与身边的玻璃世界的格格不入，有较浓厚的早期默片风格。
