幕后制作

　　一部在十八天拍摄完成的低成本独立影片，由于片中涉及的内容，最终被划分为NC-17。影片中修女被强奸的事来自1982年西班牙的一宗真实案件。坏中尉这人物是Abel导演从Bob Dylan的歌曲中想到的。影片的最后，中尉汉森被人在街头枪杀，死在自己的车里，这一段是偷拍的，也就是说你将在影片中看到纽约人面对死亡的真实反应。

　　成本的低廉导致片中的粗糙之处比比皆是，但它的诚恳却掩盖一切的不足。这是部很肮脏的电影，目的却为了体现纯洁。Abel Ferrara导演有着坚定的信念和正义的道德观。Abel导演不过多解释他的工作，他喜欢处于观众的角度拍电影。他为人性中同时存在的善与恶所着迷，语言说出来是这么的简单，而去定义它却是那么困难。Abel对待自己的宗教信仰并不那么平静，困惑多于折磨。“我被别人教育成一个天主教徒，但是人们并没注意到这点。如果我不去教堂，可能我的屁股要挨踢了，从刚出生时就这样了。这始终是个困惑，而Harvey也有这样的困惑。这有Bob Dylan的一句话，你只能有信仰或者没有，不存在中立。好的，这部电影就是关于中立的。”
